The Art and Science of IllusionApril 28, 2011The intersection of magic and science made for an intriguing evening for 600 guests of UCLA’s Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at the Skirball Cultural Center. Hosted by The Friends of the Semel Institute,  the event paired Apollo Robbins,  James Randi and other renowned magicians with prominent neuroscientists for The Friends of the Semel Institute fundraiser.

Dr. Temple Grandin

Open Mind Lecture

Famed professor of animal husbandry who is autistic, spoke to a
capacity crowd at Royce Hall. Dr. Grandin discussed growing up
with the disorder and what she has been able to accomplish as a
world-renowned designer of humane livestock facilities.
