UCLA Friends of the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior Open Mind Presents: AuDHD: Blooming Differently with author Leanne Maskell, founder of ADHD Works
What does it mean to be both autistic and have ADHD?
Please join UCLA's Friends of the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior for a thoughtful and empowering conversation that challenges misconceptions, celebrates neurodiversity, and explores how a deeper understanding of AuDHD can help individuals better understand themselves and flourish.
Although autism and ADHD have only been formally recognized as co-occurring diagnoses since 2013, they frequently do occur together. AuDHD: Blooming Differently explores the paradoxes of a brain pulled in two directions, the challenges that can arise, and the distinctive strengths that can emerge. The conversation will offer practical, compassionate tools to foster self-understanding, navigate everyday challenges, and thrive.
