Open Mind Film Festival 2023

April 30, 2023

The third annual Open Mind Film Festival, open to high school students throughout the United States, took place on Sunday, April 30th, 2023. Students were invited to join the important conversation on mental health by submitting short films that highlight their experiences and concerns. Over 130 films were submitted and ten were screened at the virtual festival.

The event was hosted by Bryan Greenberg, actor and filmmaker with multiple credits, including the TV series How to Make it in America and One Tree Hill, and the films The Perfect Score, Prime, Bride Wars, and Friends with Benefits. Bryan recently appeared in the Netflix show, You People and made his directorial debut with the film Junction, to be released this year.

After the screening of the films, Henry Platt, singer and mental health advocate, and Andrea Sonnenberg, host of the podcast series Getting Thru, joined in a conversation about challenges to teen mental health.
