If the pace of modern life is wearing you down, read on!

Right now, both kids and adults are being asked to thrive in conditions that make it nearly impossible: addictive technology, packed schedules, and constantly busy, and living with uncertainty.

In her newest book, How We Thrive: Caring for Kids and Ourselves in a Changing World, bestselling author, Stephanie Malia Krauss offers science-backed strategies to navigate the complexities of modern life and a new way forward.

In How We Thrive, Stephanie introduces the reader to “rehumaning”- the practice of protecting and prioritizing human essentials. It offers science-backed strategies to navigate the dangerous weather conditions of modern life while reclaiming the natural capacities we need to thrive.

With her signature blend of relatable storytelling and deeply researched insights, How We Thrive explores 14 timeless human essentials that safeguard health and humanity, things like movement, creativity, belonging, and belief that have sustained humans for millennia.

How We Thrive invites us to return to what matters most and shows how reclaiming these essentials can transform both our lives and the lives of the kids we care about.

Bio:

For more than two decades, Stephanie Malia Krauss has worked with schools, youth programs, foundations, and government partnerships, helping communities rethink how we care for young people and ourselves. Working with leaders from the classroom to Congress, Stephanie advises states, school districts, and national nonprofits on holistic strategies that prepare and care for kids. Her work blends research with lived experience, always asking what it takes for young people to thrive over the long haul.

Stephanie is also the author of Whole Child, Whole Life and Making It: What Today's Kids Need for Tomorrow's World. Both this book and How We Thrive explore what young people need now and in the future.
