Kim Shapira is a registered dietitian, functional nutrition therapist, and the heart behind the Kim Shapira Method. Based in Los Angeles, Kim has spent nearly three decades helping people reclaim their health by transforming the way they think about food, their bodies, and themselves.
As the author of This Is What You’re Really Hungry For, Kim outlines her signature Six Simple Rules. This is a framework designed to guide people toward a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food that honors their own unique needs. She has also created The KSM Wellness Journal, a powerful companion to her book, and the Never Diet Again masterclass, offering step-by-step support for sustainable change.
With a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Tulane University and a Master of Science in Human Metabolism and Clinical Nutrition from Boston University, Kim blends science with compassion. Over the years, she has worked in hospitals, addiction centers, sports clinics, and universities. She has helped thousands of clients through her private practice and coaching, including those navigating medical weight loss.
Kim believes that food is medicine, but it is also emotional, cultural, and deeply personal. Her mission is to help people stop fighting their bodies and start listening to them. As she often says, your body is always talking to you. Your job is to learn how to listen and trust your own journey.
When she is not working with clients or sharing her message through media outlets like People, Vanity Fair, PopSugar, and various podcasts, Kim loves spending time with her husband, their three kids, and their three dogs. Whether you are just starting your wellness journey or looking for a better way forward, Kim is here to help you feel good in your body, for good.
