Kunmi Sobowale, MD

Kunmi Sobowale, MD, is a child and adolescent psychiatry fellow and postdoctoral research fellow at the UCLA University of California Los Angeles Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. He has explored increasing access to mental health care to underserved populations in East and Southeast Asia as well as with low-income populations in the United States via economic and digital health interventions. His interest is in the prevention and early intervention of mental illness using digital health and psychosocial interventions during sensitive developmental periods including the perinatal period, early childhood, and adolescence. His education includes University of Chicago (MD), Stanford Inter-University Center for Japanese Studies, and Yale University (BA: Behavioral Neuroscience). He completed his psychiatry residency at the Yale School of Medicine.
